It serves as an information-sharing platform, where the most interesting details about each track can be exchanged, inserted into shows, and saved for repeated use. And it assists in professional development, giving program directors and producers fine-grained control over the balance between scripted material and ad-lib presentation. Supervisors can review all copy, either before it airs, or during an aircheck after the show. The information that is associated with each track can easily be retrieved or replaced in future shows.
